I've been having a lot of fun working on our Halloween Costumes. Any excuse to use my sewing machine is a good one, not to mention I love Halloween. In fact, I think I love it more each year. It's kind of a silly holiday I guess, but when else do you just get to dress up as anything you want, without anyone judging you? Our Ward party is early this year, on the 14th, so I have been trying to get things done for that so we can dress up, as well as encouraging everybody else in the Ward to do the same. Its not as fun when others don't dress up, they need to get into the Halloween Spirit.
Also, since we don't have a single Halloween decoration, I decided to make some:
I got the idea from some decorations I saw at the trade show I went to. I probably should have just bought the ones I saw, but I decided I would try to make them instead. My grandpa cut me some wood and then I just painted, wrapped (the mummy) and glued on beads for the eyes. I think they turned out pretty cute. I'm making a pumpkin too with a smaller piece of wood, but right now it kind of looks like a carrot so I left it out of the picture.
Costume pictures will be posted soon!
I AM IN LOVE WITH THOSE MAR!!! SO CUTE!
