The cottage

Last week Phil and I went down to Manti to stay the night in the most adorable little cottage.  We babysat Phil's sister's five children for a couple of days and as payment, she arranged for us to take a little vacation in her husband's family's cottage.  It was so fun, and much needed as things here are feeling busier and busier all the time as we get ready for the move.

We spent the evening walking around Snow College (in Ephraim, just a few miles from Manti) reminiscing about our time spent there.

We ate at the Malt Shop, one of our favorite diner style restaurants in Ephraim.

We had a beautiful view of the Manti temple, right across the street.

And then we spent the rest of the night cozied up in the little cottage.

I think I would move in if I could, isn't it just a little "House of Dreams"?

All in all, I think it was the perfect vacation.

Mr. Kaiden

Our trip to Arizona was so fun, and how could it not be when we got to hang out with this little guy?

Can't wait to be closer my little nephew, Mr. Kaiden!

There's no place like home

Phil and I returned home last night from a quick trip to Arizona to find our future home.  We spent Thursday morning apartment hunting and were able to find something that I love (and Phil likes) without too much trouble. We then spent the rest of time with friends and family. I'll blog more about the apartment we got another day, but for this post, since we will start packing pretty soon, I decided to take some pictures of our current apartment. I wanted to have some pictures of how we have lived here and I thought it would be fun to compare how our furniture will look in a new place. Below, you at get an idea of some of my favorite (or just most used) nooks in our little house.
