So far we have been really happy in our new home. We still can't stop commenting to each other on how big it is compared to our old apartment. I have been enjoying unpacking and getting things hung up on the walls, as well as a DIY project (pictures to come). We left our old couch in AZ so our living room is a bit empty right now, but we found a new couch for a great deal and should be getting it delivered sometime today. We want a few other pieces of furniture as well, but are on a tight budget, so I have been scouring ksl classifieds (Utah's version of craigslist) every day in hopes to find some good pieces that I can refurbish.
Phil loves his new job. He fits right in with the company culture and feels confident that he will be able to grow with the company and have a lot of opportunities. Plus, they gave him a MacBook Pro to work on, so he's sold. It's nice to have a more normal life again. No more studying or working nights or weekends. We can just spend time together as a family.
After two weeks of sleeping in all kind a of strange places (including the closet and bathroom) Luke was so happy to have his crib again. The first few days after we put it up all he wanted to do was just roll around in it like it was the coolest thing in the world. I guess even babies can appreciate being back in their own bed.
Nothing quite like your own home sweet home.
